Next Day

Everyone is at the table having breakfast.

Dp : Is everything ready to go ? We will depart at 9 am. And will first go to Gadodiya mansion then we will go together to Kolgaon.

Parth: Yes dadu(grandfather) everything is ready, let's go on vacation. Yeaah

Parineeti: What preparation have you done to say everything is ready ? and I am also bringing your book with us , hence you have to complete your vacation work there also.

Parth: (in fake crying tone) Oh god what days have come, these people don’t even let a child live his life peacefully in vacation also.

Everyone laughs at his drama.

Sanskar: bade papa, actually my friends are also coming to india after 2 days. And they want to come to Kolgaon to enjoy a vacation with us. If they come there it will be easy for me to discuss some important business with them also. Can they please come there?

Before DP can say something, Sujata: God, what should I do with this boy? Sanskar we are going on vacation on top of that for your alliance and you want to discuss business work there also ? Can’t you take a few days off from your busy schedule for some amount of family time ?

Sanskar: Mom, you know how much work is important to me and you don’t need to worry. I will spend only half of the day on business work, the other half will be for family time. Okay ?

Sujata: What ? HALF DAY !! 

DP interrupted Sujata: Sujata let it be. You know how passionate he is about his work. And Sanskar you don’t need to ask for my permission so your friends can come there, it’s your house also you can invite anyone you want. But you should strictly enjoy this family vacation maximum.

Sanskar: Of course Bade papa. I will.

Everyone departs at 9 am heading toward Gadodia mansion. The car arrangements are like this: DP and Annapurna; Ram and Sujatha in one car; Adarsh , Parineeta , Parth and Uttara are in one car . Lastly Sanskar and Laksh are in one car. There are 4 more cars with their luggage and bodyguards.

At Gadodia mansion

Abhay : Maheshwari family will come here at around 9.30 and we will depart immediately. Is everything ready ?

Kritika : Yes, everything is ready.

Everyone get busy in doing breakfast when Pihu started looking here and there

Pihu: umm . Papa about sw.. swara..

Everyone looked at Pihu with shock, listening to the swara name.

Abhay cutting her between her talk and looking at her angrily: I have already made myself clear that I don’t want to listen to her name or anything related to her in this house. 

Pihu realizing what mistake she made: Sorry papa.

Maheshwari arrives at Gadodia mansion and everyone welcomes them. After everyone settles down.

Ram: Sanskar met them, he is Abhay bhai and his wife Kritika bhabhi they both are lovely couples, You already had met Shekhar, she is his wife Sharmishta bhabhi. He is Nikhil the eldest son and his wife kavya. She is Pihu the eldest daughter.

Sanskar greeted everyone with a warm smile and politely. Everyone gets busy with talks; Gents with their business talks and ladies with their gossiping.In midst of everything Sanskar is wondering why Swara is not here but just shrugs thinking she is maybe on vacation. He gets quickly  gelled up with Nikhil as they both are workaholic.After some patch up everyone departs to Kolgaon.

Car Arrangement ( everyone is driving themselves, it’s just 5 hours drive from mumbai)

1. DP, Ram, Abhay, Shekhar

2. Annapurna, Sujata , Kritika, Sharmishta

3. Adarsh, Parineeta, Parth, Nikhil, Kavya

4. Sanskar, laksh, Pihu, Uttara

There are now 2 more cars following them which contain their luggage and bodyguards for their safety.

( i don’t know where Kolgaon is but just imaging that it is beach side village )

In Sanskar’s car Sanskar, Laksh are sitting in front and Sanskar is driving the car. Pihu and Uttara are sitting in the backseat busy in their girl talks. Laksh is moving the mirror again which is making Sanskar frustrated.

Sanskar: Laksh, for god sake stop moving the mirror and let me adjust it properly. I don’t want to risk our life just because you want to stare at your girlfriend. If you are so desperate then go and sit at the back.

Listening to Sanskar's talk Laksh and Pihu get flushed and Uttara laughs out loudly.

Laksh composed himself: I.. ummhh, she is my girlfriend. I can stare at her or do whatever I want. What's wrong with that ?. And It's good idea, Sanky. Uttu came here and let me sit with my love. Don’t be a third wheel. You have already spoiled my mood by coming with us in one car. Can’t you take another car ? Huh.

Pihu blush hard listening to Laksh's shameless words and face palm herself. Sanskar and Uttara gasped.

Sanskar smacks Laksh's head: Oye, have some shame, you have yet not become official in front of our families and want to share a car with her alone ? 

Pihu: Not only in front of Family but also friends. Only a handful of people know about us that you also got to know by accident. Huh. (She make faces while saying and glare at Laksh angrily)

Laksh with a little bit of excitement: Are, but baby it’s just so adventurous when it's a secret relationship. Doesn’t it?  It will be always thrilled to meet you secretly afraid of getting caught. Just imagine one day when we will get caught ; what will be the reaction of our family? 

All others shake their heads unbelievably. 

Pihu:Yeah , Yeah they will give you a good beating to give you the best reaction. But let me warn you if they start to see proposals to me I am not going to reject any one; if they fix my marriage then also you wait until they find out about our relationship. Huh.( getting annoyed) 

Laksh getting possessive: Don’t you even dare to go near any other man.I will break their bones if they even see you.

Uttara: Oh bhai. Calm down.

Pihu: Uttara, he can’t do anything except talking.(Giving side eye to Laksh)

Laksh smirking: Oh really babe, (raising his one eyebrow)  then let me remind you what happened to sahil after his flirting with you.(Gritting his teeth) Do you want a recap of it ?

Pihu gulps remembering how Laksh has almost made sahil disabled.

Sanskar: woah woah. We have a possessive freak here. But seriously lucky you know that  you should make your relationship official right? Sooner the better. I can’t wait to call Pihu, bhabhi. 

Uttara: Me too. Then I will brag to all people that the most famous designer in India is my bhabhi.How cool.

Pihu blushing: Sanskar..Uttara..stop it

Laksh: Oh baby, let them call you bhabhi. In the present and future I belong to you only. (wink at her)

Pihu sassily: I know .

Just like this their journey gets moving with jokes, teasing each other.They had taken a stop for lunch before starting their journey again. Now  avoiding everyone Laksh has seated with Pihu at the back.

Almost at 6 pm they reach Gadodia Mansion , maheshwari mansion is just a few meters away from it, but they have decided that in this vacation they are going to stay in Gadodia mansion only. Sanskar’s Grandparents are already present in Gadodia mansion. 

Gadodia Mansion is the ancestral mansion of Gadodia's; but over time they have renewed it. Hence even if it has ancestry it has all modern facilities, someone can need. Same with Maheshwari Mansion.

Everyone settled in the living room when helpers came and started to distribute the drinks and snacks. Everyone takes blessings from elders. Sanskar was introduced to Deendayal. All are busy chit chatting.

Suddenly Sujata asked a helper loudly, gaining everyone’s attention especially Sanskar’s whose eyes are roaming everywhere to find where Swara is:  Sakshi, where is my daughter Swara ? 

Sakshi, the head of helper in Gadodia mansion, is just like a family member to gadodia.

Sakshi smiling: Sujata bhabhi she is in the kitchen from afternoon she is busy preparing snacks for you all. Wait, I will bring her here.

Sharmishta: Yes, bring her faster. We have to make Sanskar and swara meet each other.

Sakshi went to bring swara. Whereas Sanskar is impatient looking at the direction where Sakshi has gone continuously trying his best not to make it obvious to others.Soon he sees Sakshi and one girl come with her.  Seeing the girl he is awestruck. He is just staring at her face which is looking so innocent like an angel not like those girls who fake her innocence in front of him to gain his attention. In his eyes she is looking prettier than world class models without makeup.Her small smile is attracting him towards her. Unknowingly he also started smiling after seeing her smile.

Swara to everyone: Namaste, aap sab log kaise hain ? Koi pareshani to nahi hui na yaha aate waqt ?(Hello, How are you all ? How’s your journey?)

Sanskar’s trance gets broken by swara’s voice. 

Sujata who is overexcited to see swara goes towards her and hugs her: Hum sab log bahut acche hai,or humain koi takleef nahi hui. Tum batao tum kaisi ho ? ( Hello, We all are perfect and our journey also went smoothly . Tell me how are you  ?)

Swara: Hum bilkul theek hai, chachi. ( I am an absolutely fine aunty.)

Sharmishta coming towards swara: tum theek ho ? to phir tumhara vajan kam kyun lag raha hai? (You are ok ? then why your weight is seem less)

Caresses Swara’s face lovingly with teary eyes. After Sharmishta’s statement everyone’s focus is on them only.

Swara: sacha much, hum theek hain. chinta mat kijiye  (Really, I am fine. Don’t get worried.)

Soon all the ladies gang went toward Swara and started their talk. Whereas Abhay and Shekhar are looking towards each other communicating in silent stares with unreadable expressions. All mens then started to have their men’s talk. 

Soon time passed and All maheshwari and Gadodiya had dinner and now are sitting in a garden enjoying their free time. When suddenly Uttara asks something which gains everyone's attention.

Uttara: Grandfather, if we are here to propose Swara di and Sanskar bhai’s marriage then why don’t we let them have personal talks so that they can get to know each other ?

Deensayal: Yes you are absolutely correct, what do you think of Prasad?

Prasad: What can we say Deenu? It’s their choice. They can do anything they want. Sanskar if you want then you can take her and have some talk.

Sanskar who was eagerly waiting for this chance immediately said yes. In mind he is thanking Uttara for asking this question. Even though he is busy in talking with others in his mind he is thinking about Swara only. Swara is beautiful there is no doubt but he wants to know her character, her likes, dislikes. For the first time in his life he is eager to know about someone this much. He is feeling an attraction towards her. Sanskar looks towards Swara who is sitting between his mother and her mother looking at her lap in shock.  Shock ? but maybe she is shy. That's what Sanksar thought after seeing Swara’s expression.

Sanskar gets up and starts walking towards where Swara is sitting and stands a few inches away from her. Everyone’s eyes are following him. But when he glances towards them everyone diverts their attention. Seeing no movement in Swara, Kritika makes Swara face her and tell her.

Kritika: Swara, hum chaahate hain ki tum Sanskar ke saath jao aur kuchh baaten karo taaki tum donon ek doosare ko jaan sake. Agar aap dono ko theek lagain to hi hum shadi ki baat aage badhaenge. Theek hai ? (Swara, we want you to go with him and have some talk so that you both can get to know each other. If you both are ok then only we will proceed toward marriage talk. Is it ok?)

After listening to Kritika Swara's eyes get even wider, Shock and confusion is  clearly evident from her face. She glances over all her family and they are absolutely not joking. At last she looks at Abhay who has a stone face and looks at her. As Swara was taking permission from Abhay she kept looking at him and when finally after a few seconds he nodded then only Swara got up from her seat. 

Ram: Swara, tum dono samundar kinare jao. (Swara, take him to beach side)

Laksh teasingly: Yeah, there will be lots of privacy  for both of you. Saying this he winks at Sanskar

Everyone chuckles.All this while Swara is looking down only, slowly she starts to walk towards the beach side and Sanskar follows her.

Till they reach the back of the mansion at the beach side no one utter a word. Sanskar is busy thinking about what they should talk about. Whereas Swara is busy with some thoughts.

As this beach side is private and property of Gadodia they have a sitting area to enjoy the beach view. They both went there and sat opposite each other. For a few minutes there is complete silence, both finding words less embarrassing to start their first conversation. Sanskar is silently glancing at her, excited to know more about her.

Sanskar breaks silence by clearing throat: Hi, I am Sanskar. Actually I don’t know how much you know about me from our family. I wan..

Swara cutting him: Sanskar ji, hume angreji thodi hi aati haii. Kya aap hindi mai baat karenge ?(Sanskar, I don’t know english much, can you please talk in Hindi ?)

Sanskar gets shocked listening to her, she doesn't know english ? How come ? Because from where they belong they started to learn english before school starts only. But being professional in hiding his expression soon he hides his expression and smiles at Swara not wanting to make her embarrassed.

Sanksar: Ji jarur. (Yes, of course)

Swara:uhm .. Aap jo chaahen humse poochh sakate hain.(You can ask me anything you want)

Sanskar: kaisa rahega agar aap pehle sawal karen ? main sabhee sawalon ke sachche dil se jawab doonga.(How about you start first? I will answer all questions honestly.)

Swara asks with a confused face tilting her head: Hum kaise aapse sawal karenge ? (how can I ask you questions ?)

Sanskar is amused by her reply and face: Kaise matlab ? Agar hamain shadi karani hai to hamain ek-doosare ko jaanana hoga, aur usake liye hamain baate ya sawal to karana chahiye na?( how means ? If we want to marry then we have to know each other and for that we should talk and question each other right ?)

Swara: haan, lekin aapako humse sawal poochhana chaahie. Hum kaise puch sakte hai ? (Yes, but you should ask me questions, how can I ask ?)

Sanskar in confusion: Aap ka humse sawal karne mein kya galat hai? kya aap kisee aise vyakti ke baare mein jaanana nahin chaahate jisake saath aapake shadi ki baat chal raha hai. Ya aap mujhe pasand nahin karati? (What is wrong with you asking me a question? Don't you want to know about someone with whom your proposal is going on. Or you don't like me ?) after he said the last line he felt sad unknowingly.

Listening to Sanskar questioning her, Swara immediately said: nahin - nahin. aisa kuchh nahin hai. lekin main aap ke baare mein jaana ke kya karoongi? bade-bujurgon dvaara vivaah tay kiya jaega. agar ve aap ko pasand karate hain to ve haan kah denge aur phir hum shadi kar lenge. beshak aapko bhi hum pasand aana chahiye. (No, no. It’s nothing like that. But what will I do knowing about you ? Marriage will be fixed by elders. If they like you they will say yes and then we will get married. Of Course you should also like me.)

Shock is a small word to describe what Sanskar is feeling right now. Swara’s answer is illogical to him. Sanskar, who wants to marry an independent girl, was talking to a girl who doesn’t even want to choose her husband according to her choice. On top of that She doesn't want to know about him either. This is a big blow to his mind. He is busy thinking that girls have this kind of thoughts in this era also ?

He couldn’t control the shock and blurted at her : Are you serious woman !!!!. Where are you from ?
